Petrol Price Jumps Again as Rate Climbs to Rs391.22 Per Litre

Petrol and Diesel Prices Raised Again as New Fuel Rates Take Effect

The federal government has announced a fresh increase in fuel prices, making petrol and diesel more expensive across the country.

Under the latest revision, the price of petrol has gone up by Rs. 6.88 per litre, taking the new rate to Rs. 391.22 per litre. High-Speed Diesel (HSD) has also become costlier, with an increase of Rs. 5.62 per litre, bringing its price to Rs. 421.45 per litre.

According to the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), the adjustment reflects recent developments in international petroleum markets, including fluctuations in global fuel prices, Platts benchmarks, and petroleum premiums.

The increase comes at a time when global energy markets continue to face uncertainty, leading to frequent changes in fuel costs.

The latest hike is expected to place additional pressure on consumers, transporters, and businesses that depend heavily on petroleum products. Rising fuel prices can also contribute to higher transportation costs and increased expenses across multiple sectors of the economy.

The revised rates will remain in effect until September 17, 2026, unless the government announces another adjustment before then.

With fuel prices continuing to rise, consumers and businesses alike are closely monitoring international oil market trends for any indication of future changes.
