Pakistan’s Test cricket team has reached an unwanted milestone following its latest defeat to England at Lord’s. For the first time in nearly four decades, the national side now has more losses than wins in Test cricket.
The defeat was Pakistan’s 154th Test loss, taking them past their total of 153 victories. Out of 473 Test matches played so far, 166 have ended in draws, leaving Pakistan with a win-loss record that has slipped below the 1.00 mark.

The previous time Pakistan had a higher number of defeats than victories was in August 1987. At that stage, the team had played 170 Test matches, recording 39 wins and 40 losses.
Pakistan’s latest setback came after England secured a 194-run victory at Lord’s, giving the hosts an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match Test series.
The focus now shifts to the third and final Test at Edgbaston, scheduled to begin on September 9, where Pakistan will be aiming to bounce back and avoid a series whitewash against England.
