Oppo has officially introduced its new F35 smartphone lineup in India, bringing notable upgrades over the previous F33 series. The new devices come with larger batteries, improved cameras, and enhanced displays, although the added battery capacity has also made them slightly heavier than their predecessors.
Oppo F35 Pro Gets Major Upgrades
The Oppo F35 Pro arrives with a larger 6.78-inch OLED display that offers a resolution of 1272 x 2772 pixels and supports a refresh rate of up to 144Hz for smoother scrolling and gaming. The screen is capable of displaying 10-bit colors with full DCI-P3 color coverage, delivering vibrant visuals. It can reach up to 1,800 nits of brightness in high-brightness mode and is protected by AGC DT-Star D+ glass. An in-display fingerprint scanner is also included.
Under the hood, the device is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 7360 MAX processor, a refined version of the Dimensity 7300 built on TSMC’s efficient 4nm process. It features an octa-core CPU and Mali-G615 graphics. Buyers can choose between 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM, along with 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage for faster performance and quicker app loading times.
The camera setup also receives a boost. Alongside the 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization, Oppo has added an 8MP ultra-wide camera with a 116-degree field of view. On the front, the phone features a high-resolution 50MP selfie camera paired with a 100-degree ultra-wide lens and autofocus support.
Both the front and rear cameras are capable of recording 4K video at 30fps. Oppo has also included a dual-view video mode that allows users to record from both cameras simultaneously.
Oppo F35 Focuses on Battery Life and Selfies
The standard Oppo F35 retains a more compact 6.57-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2372 pixels. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate and offers 10-bit color reproduction with full coverage of both the sRGB and DCI-P3 color spaces. The display can reach up to 1,400 nits of brightness and is protected by Crystal Guard glass.
Despite the smaller screen, Oppo has equipped the F35 with the same 8,000mAh battery found in the Pro model. The phone supports 80W SuperVOOC charging, along with USB PPS and UFCS fast-charging standards.
Selfie lovers will appreciate the upgraded front camera. The F35 now includes a 50MP selfie sensor with a 100-degree ultra-wide lens and autofocus, a significant improvement over the 16MP front camera used in the previous generation.
At the back, the phone features a 50MP primary camera accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor. Unlike the Pro model, optical image stabilization is not available. The device currently supports video recording at up to 1080p and 60fps, while Oppo says a future software update will enable 2.5K recording at 30fps.
Performance is handled by the MediaTek Dimensity 6360 MAX processor, the same chipset used in the F33 lineup. It is paired with either 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Unlike the Pro version, there is no 256GB storage option.
Durability and Availability
Both smartphones come with an IP69 rating, offering strong protection against dust and high-pressure water exposure.
Pre-orders for the Oppo F35 and F35 Pro are already live through Oppo’s official website, Amazon, and Flipkart. The F35 Pro is available in Sunrise Orange, Wave Blue, and Twilight Brown color options, while the standard F35 comes in Wave Blue, Mist Pink, and Titanium Grey.
The new devices will officially go on sale from October 11. While Oppo has packed several upgrades into the F35 series, the starting price of the standard F35 is higher than what the F33 series launched at, reflecting the additional features and larger battery capacity offered by the latest generation.
