KIA Launches New Stonic in Pakistan With Two Variants



KIA has officially introduced the new-generation Stonic compact SUV in Pakistan, offering customers two variants: Turbo S and Turbo X. The Turbo S is priced at Rs5.499 million, while the Turbo X carries a price tag of Rs5.899 million.

Engine and Performance

Both versions of the Stonic are powered by a 1.0-litre Turbo GDI petrol engine (998cc) that produces 100 PS at 6,000 rpm and 172 Nm of torque between 1,500 and 3,500 rpm. Power is delivered through a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) paired with a front-wheel-drive system.

Dimensions and Practicality

The two variants share the same overall footprint, measuring 4,165mm in length, 1,760mm in width, and featuring a 2,580mm wheelbase.

The SUV offers 352 litres of boot space, which can be expanded to 1,155 litres when the rear seats are folded. A 45-litre fuel tank and seating for five passengers come standard across both models.

There are slight differences in height and ground clearance. The Turbo S stands 1,520mm tall with 183mm ground clearance, while the Turbo X measures 1,500mm in height and offers 165mm ground clearance.

Exterior Features

The Turbo S comes equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 205/55R17 tyres, while the Turbo X features 16-inch alloy wheels with 195/55R16 tyres.

The higher-spec Turbo S includes:

- LED projection headlamps
- Dynamic welcome lighting
- LED front fog lamps
- LED rear combination lamps
- Power tilt-and-slide sunroof

Meanwhile, the Turbo X offers halogen bi-function projection headlamps and LED rear lamps with bulb lighting. It does not include the welcome light feature, front fog lamps, or sunroof.

Both variants receive:

- LED daytime running lights
- Roof rails
- Electrically folding side mirrors

Interior and Technology

Inside the cabin, both models feature an 8-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Other standard equipment includes a 4.2-inch TFT instrument cluster, a six-speaker audio system, and air conditioning.

The Turbo S receives several premium upgrades, including:

- Cloth and artificial leather seats
- Dual-tone black and grey interior
- Leather-wrapped steering wheel
- Auto-dimming rear-view mirror
- Metal pedals

The Turbo X comes with cloth upholstery, a single-tone black interior, a polyurethane steering wheel, and a standard day/night rear-view mirror.

Comfort and Convenience

The Turbo S includes a smart key with push-button start, while the Turbo X offers keyless entry.

Both variants are equipped with:

- Electric parking brake with auto hold
- Cruise control
- Drive mode selection
- Idle stop-and-go system
- Front and rear parking sensors
- Rear-view camera
- Tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS)

Safety Features

KIA has included a comprehensive list of safety features in both variants, including:

- Six airbags
- Anti-lock Braking System (ABS)
- Electronic Stability Control (ESC)
- Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC)
- Multi-Collision Brake (MCB)
- ISOFIX child-seat anchors

Colours and Warranty

The new Stonic is available in several exterior colours, including:

- Fusion Black
- Clear White
- Selenium Grey
- Interstellar Grey
- Sparkling Silver

KIA is also offering a 4-year or 100,000-kilometre warranty, along with roadside assistance and support through its certified pre-owned vehicle program.
