Pakistan Reaffirms Commitment to Saudi Arabia’s Security, Says DG ISPR
Pakistan has once again expressed its strong support for Saudi Arabia’s security, with Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry stating that Pakistan remains fully committed to the Kingdom’s defence.
Speaking on the matter, the military spokesperson emphasized that Pakistan’s support for Saudi Arabia is unwavering and extends to the protection of Makkah and Madinah, Islam’s two holiest cities.
Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said Pakistan stands alongside Saudi Arabia through diplomatic cooperation as well as security and defence support, particularly during periods of regional instability and heightened tensions.
His remarks come amid ongoing discussions about the close strategic partnership between the two countries. Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have shared strong diplomatic, military and economic ties for decades, with defence cooperation remaining a key pillar of their relationship.
The DG ISPR noted that Pakistan’s position is focused on safeguarding the Kingdom and ensuring the security of the Two Holy Mosques against any potential threat. He reiterated that Pakistan remains committed to supporting Saudi Arabia whenever regional security challenges arise.
Pakistan and Saudi Arabia continue to maintain close collaboration across a range of sectors, including defence, trade and diplomacy. The latest statement highlights the importance both countries place on their longstanding partnership and mutual security interests.
